Like you, we love footy and as the state peak body for Australian Football we are committed to it being the game loved by all South Australians. Our goal is to grow and develop our great game and provide opportunities for South Australians to get involved in the game whether it be as a player, administrator, coach, umpire, volunteer or supporter.
The South Australian Football Commission is a nine-person board elected to govern football on behalf of SANFL Community Football and our eight SANFL member Clubs – Central District, Glenelg, North Adelaide, Norwood, South Adelaide, Sturt, West Adelaide and Woodville-West Torrens.
Steven Trigg was appointed as new Chair of the SA Football Commission in March 2026.
Steven is managing director of South Australian wine company The Randall Wine Group and a former CEO of both the Adelaide Football Club and Carlton Football Club.
His involvement with South Australian football spans nearly three decades as a player, coach and administrator.
He played 129 senior matches for Central District and North Adelaide (1980-1987) and coached the Sturt Football Club’s Reserves (1990) and League (1991-92).
After joining the Adelaide Football Club as communications manager in the Crows’ inaugural premiership season in 1997, he went on to be the club’s CEO from 2002-2014 before taking up the same role at Carlton from 2014-2017.
Appointed a member of the Commission in 2020, Nicole Haack is a leading communications adviser and former news director and radio presenter.
Nicole has extensive experience across both the private and public sector in stakeholder engagement, strategic communications, issues and crisis management, digital marketing and change management.
She is also a director of the Adelaide Central Market Authority and has held leadership positions on numerous boards, including Chair of both Variety Australia and Variety South Australia and Director of Raising Literacy Australia and the Cora Barclay Centre.
Nicole is also a former Telstra Young Businesswoman of the Year and a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Centenary Medal for service to business.
Janet Finlay is an independent professional director and experienced business advisor.
A chartered accountant and former partner of Big 4 accounting firm Ernst & Young, Janet has a strong commercial and finance background with extensive experience across a wide range of public, private, international and not-for-profit organisations.
She also holds numerous board roles in South Australia, including with SA Water Corporation, the University of Adelaide, St John Ambulance and Libraries Board of SA.
A strategic thinker, Janet has experience in leadership, governance, business development, financial management and reporting, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
Lawyer Bill Moody was elected a member of the Commission in 2019.
Bill has a longstanding involvement in football administration, having been a former Director of the Norwood Football Club for 15 years, Chair of the Club’s Finance committee from 2012 to 2017 and Vice President until joining the Commission.
A former Partner with South Australian law firm Moody Rossi & Co, Bill is currently a consultant specialising in commercial law with Andersons Solicitors.
Luke Powell was appointed a member of the Commission in 2023.
Luke is the former CEO of the Woodville-West Torrens Football Club and a Life Member and Life Governor of the Club.
He is also a SANFL Player Life Member, having played 233 games for the Eagles between 2003 and 2014, and captaining the club from 2012 to 2014.
He was Woodville-West Torrens Club Champion in 2008, a two-time Premiership Player (2006 and 2011) and represented South Australia in State Football on two occasions.
Luke continues to be Director of successful local residential and commercial building company LJP Masonry.
Brad was elected as a member of the Commission in 2026, he previously served as League Director for SANFL Community Football and has been a member of the Community Football Committee since 2015.
Brad also served as President of the Adelaide Plains Football League from 2000 to 2018.
Teri was elected as a member of the Commission in 2026.
Teri is a highly respected legal practitioner with extensive experience across both public and private practice. A former Vice President of the Glenelg Football Club, she has also served as the SANFL Integrity Officer.
