The Torrens University SA U18 team will be close to full strength when it tackles Victoria Country in Game 2 of the NAB AFL National Championships at Thebarton Oval on Sunday.

Coming off a promising 37-point win against the Allies in Game 1, the Croweaters have welcomed back leadership group midfielders Nick Sadler and Kobe Ryan, together with talls Harry Barnett and Will Patton.

All four players were unavailable for Game 1 due to Covid Health and Safety Protocols while South Adelaide’s Kyle Marshall has also been included, on the extended interchange, in the 26-player squad.

Barnett, having impressed in the ruck this year, is set to begin his campaign at full forward after Phoenix Foster made the most of his opportunity in the centre square against the Allies.

Barnett, Harry Lemmey and Isaac Keeler will form a formidable trio of tall marking targets for SA inside 50m while Sadler and Kobe Ryan will inject great energy into the midfield.

SA will be hoping to chalk up two wins from its two home games before hitting the road to face Victoria Metro in Geelong (July 17) and Western Australia in Perth (July 24).

The match will be live-streamed from 1.30pm on the AFL’s website – AFL.com.au
