It’s been a big year for Sturt’s Sophie Thredgold.

Finishing school, playing league footy for Sturt’s SANFLW side and representing the state as vice-captain of South Australia’s U18 Girls side, Thredgold has had a busy 12 months.

On this episode of South Aussie Select, Sophie Thredgold chats about finishing Year 12 this year, having former AFLW player Ange Foley as her coach, and how school rowing shaped her football journey.

Thredgold also touches on her performance at the 2025 Marsh AFLW National Championships and what the AFLW Draft process has been like for her.
