Eagle Noah Ah Chee displayed plenty of poise as he kicked the match-winning major to give his side a thrilling one-point win against South Adelaide in Round 3 of the AAMI Talent League Boys at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Trailing by five points after the Panthers edged ahead during time-on of the final term courtesy of Cain Florance, Ah Chee calmly slotted his long-range set shot in the 24th minute after earning a free kick.

It was enough for the hosts to hold on during the tense closing stages as the Eagles’ coaches lauded the performances of Hunter Rowe (22 disposals, one goal), Lachlan Marshall-Bates (four goals) and Seb Cavallaro.

South skipper Kodah Edwards continued his hot start to the season with a game-high 27 disposals, nine clearances and three goals while Florance (22 disposals, three goals) and Kody Shortridge (14 disposals, two goals) added extra punch around the goals.

Dominant displays from North Adelaide pair Harry Tamblyn and Ethan Herbert weren’t enough to overcome an efficient Sturt, the Double Blues earning a comfortable 35-point win at Thomas Farms Oval.

Leading at every change, the hosts only had eight more disposals but were able to conjure 11 more inside 50 entries and five more scoring shots whilst banking their third win in succession.

Smooth-moving Sturt midfielder Will Ekberg impressed with 26 dispsoals and eight clearances while Jack Nelson racked up 25 disposals and a goal as defender Hugo Jaeschke played his role nicely.

Roosters midfielder Tamblyn (37 disposals, nine marks) and ruck Herbert (31 disposals, 12 clearances) did their best to haul their side into the contest.

Central District earned its first victory of the season with a comfortable 18-point triumph against West Adelaide at X Convenience Oval.

The Bulldogs strarted brightly to earn a three-goal lead at the first change and were never headed whilst engineering 14 more inside 50 entries than the Bloods.

Central’s Jack Ryan asserted himself in the air with 12 marks to go with 22 disposals while Brayden Whimpress (16 disposals, one goal) and Cooper Tamas (12 disposals) were also highly rated.

The Bloods had Calvin Jones (22 disposals), Tyce Lush (13 disposals, one goal) and Crows NGA prospect Anthony Long (15 disposals, one goal) fight hard to the final siren.

Glenelg’s impressive start to its 2026 campaign rolled on when it secured its third win in succession with a 33-point victory against Norwood at The Parade.

Now with wins against the Eagles, West and Redlegs in the bank, the Tigers are maintaining pressure on the ladder-leading Double Blues, who also remain undefeated.

The Bays’ Ben Copping (16 disposals, four goals) and Jacob McNicol (33 disposals, four goals) were key architects in the triumph as captain Jimmy Hele (24 dispsoals, two goals) was also prominent.

Norwood’s Thomas Gribben battled hard with 22 disposals and nine marks while Charlie Best (29 disposals, six clearances) and Eddie Sorensen (27 disposals, one goal) gave their all in the centre square.
