Round 1 AAMI Talent League Girls Teams

The inaugural season of the AAMI Talent League Girls is set to springboard into action with four Round 1 matches to be played on Saturday. 

Designed to provide a more structured and sustainable pathway for emerging female talent, the U18 girls competition will feature seven minor rounds followed by a two-week finals series involving the top four teams, with the season finishing at the beginning of May.

The AAMI Talent League Girls has replaced the SANFLW Development League.

Action officially gets underway tomorrow afternoon when West Adelaide hosts Sturt at Richmond Oval from 12:30pm.

Sturt U18 Girls captain Emily Duthy expressed her excitement for the new league.

“It’s my second year of SANFLW footy, so I am excited to see what happens,” Duthy said.

“Playing with girls who are a similar age to me makes me feel more confident, and it’s a really good opportunity for girls to develop their footy.

“I’m keen to play all the other teams and to see how the first U18 Girls season goes.”

The action continues with Central District taking on Glenelg at X Convenience Oval at 2pm, with the Redlegs clashing with Woodville-West Torrens at The Parade from 3.20pm.

Round 1 of the AAMI Talent League Girls concludes with South Adelaide hosting the Roosters at Magain Stadium from 3.30pm.

All games will be streamed live and on demand via SANFL Now.
