2026 AAMI SA U16 Boys Team – Game 2

The AAMI SA U16 Team will aim to open its account when it tackles Victoria Country in Game 2 of the Marsh AFL National Championships in Queensland on Tuesday.

Coming off a narrow 12-point loss to Western Australia at Alberton in Game 1, the Croweaters will be searching for a fast start after trailing at every change against the Sandgropers before putting on four goals in the final term.

Coached by SANFL Head of Development Heath Younie, the AAMI SA U16s will have three new faces, with North Adelaide’s Harry Hobby and West Adelaide pair Kit Saracino and Hugo Williams donning the cherished red guernsey for the first time in the Carnival.

Prime movers Tyler Hitch, Zane Rooney and Jacob Westley will again be setting themselves for another strong showing, as will emerging ruck Cooper Jolly.

SA’s twin towers in attack were a handful for the West Australian defenders in Game 1 with Fergus Vogt (five goals) and Harrison Schubert (two goals), combining for seven of the Croweaters’ nine majors for the match.

After taking on Victoria Country at People First Stadium on the Gold Coast on Tuesday, the AAMI SA U16 Team will finish its campaign against Victoria Metro on Friday July 17 at Fankhauser Reserve (Southport) in Game 3.
