South Adelaide got the better of Woodville-West Torrens, winning by 27 points in a dour affair at Magain Stadium.
The challenging conditions saw both sides struggle for accuracy in-front of goal, and in the end, it was South’s three-goal third term which made all the difference.
Panther Archie Wheaton was the standout performer with 33 disposals, nine marks and two goals, while Cody Hastwell (22 disposals and a goal) and Hamish French (22 disposals) also made an impact.
Nate Ashley (28 disposals and five clearances) and Alexander Darcey (24 disposals and five clearances) combined well in the midfield for the Eagles and Damien Wanganeen booted a goal from his 19 touches.

A six-goal haul from West Adelaide forward Lucas Piggott helped the Bloods defeat Norwood by 66 points at Coopers Stadium in Round 14 of the AAMI Talent League Boys U16s.
Scores were level mid-way through the second term as both sides enjoyed periods of dominance, but West put the foot down after half-time by kicking nine of the last 11 goals.
Piggott was a constant threat inside-50 for the Bloods, while Naman Mittal (30 disposals, 10 inside-50s and three goals), and Kobe Eichler (24 disposals and two goals) found plenty of the ball.
Harrison Tink (24 disposals and a goal) and James Mudge (21 disposals and nine inside-50s) led the way for Norwood and teammate Malik Osman kicked three goals.

Central District snapped a five-game losing streak by defeating Sturt by 10 points at Thomas Farms Oval.
Despite having their noses in-front for much of the game, the Bulldogs had a slender one-point advantage at three-quarter time but did enough to secure the points.
Central on-ballers Braith Hickey and Erwyn Rothe combined for 13 clearances, but it was ruckman Jake Jones (22 disposals, 32 hit outs, six clearances and two goals) who had the biggest impact on proceedings.
Jesse Nunan provided constant rebound for the Double Blues, whilst Luke Brook managed a game-high eight clearances and Sam Casey booted three majors.

Glenelg continued their impressive form with a hard-fought 11-point win over North Adelaide at Revo Fitness Oval.
Although the Tigers dominated the inside-50 battle (54-28), they could only generate one more scoring shot than the efficient Roosters, but still did enough to record their fifth win in a row.
Glenelg midfielder Harry Thompson put in the hard yards, laying 10 tackles to go with 31 disposals and six clearances, with teammates Harrison Webb (25 disposals and two goals) and Blake Zuromski (21 disposals and 10 inside-50s) also impressive.
Regular contributors Kade Clark, Tom Laube and Samuel Pedlar were once against amongst North’s best.
