Tom Neal continued his solid run of form, collecting 29 disposals and taking 11 marks, with Charlie Best (27 disposals, five clearances, seven inside 50s) and Will Sheedy (27 disposals, nine marks) both excellent.

Woodville-West Torrens overcame a slow start to defeat South Adelaide by 13 points at Magain Stadium.

In less than favourable conditions at Noarlunga, it was the Eagles who prevailed after only recording one major in the first three quarters.

Midfielder Romario Clemente was a cut above his teammates on Saturday, collecting 32 disposals and 11 clearances, with Connor Rugari (eight tackles) and Cooper Wurfel (19 disposals, six marks) also solid for the Eagles, who now sit in second on the ladder – just behind Central District on percentage.

Panthers’ Jayce Potter battled hard for his side, finishing the day with 33 disposals, nine marks and seven tackles, and was well supported by Ben Dittmar (28 disposals, five clearances,) and Hudson Boal (23 disposals, eight clearances, six marks).

Brayden Whimpress was the hero as Central District pipped Sturt at the post, defeating the Double Blues by one-point at Thomas Farms Oval.

Whimpress remained calm and collected in the forward 50, receiving a handball and immediately snapping the ball through the big sticks with just under four minutes to go – the win sending the Dogs to the top of the ladder.

Callan Semmler had a field day in the ruck with 56 hit outs and five clearances, as Tony Marrone (30 disposals, 13 clearances) and Billy Nicholls (20 disposals, five marks) both played admirably in the wet and wild conditions.

Double Blues’ forward Angus Mills (20 disposals, nine tackles, one goal), Tom Lindsay (10 tackles) and Will Ekberg (20 disposals, six clearances, five inside 50s) were all solid in a heartbreaking loss.

Glenelg has jumped inside the top four after upsetting North Adelaide by 17 points at Revo Fitness Oval.

The Tigers came out firing in the first quarter, kicking four goals to one – a solid enough foundation to knock off the ladder leaders who now sit in third spot.

Jimmy Hele was instrumental in his side’s victory, racking up 31 disposals to go with his five clearances, as teammates Joey Ottoson-Crossling (24 disposals, eight tackles) and Jack Wakelin (10 marks) all played their parts well.

Roosters’ Archie Simpson (four goals), Blake Amos (25 disposals, nine tackles, eight marks, six clearances), and Harry Tamblyn (25 disposals, nine marks, nine tackles) were all excellent in frustrating loss for North.
