Prolific Glenelg midfielder Kyle Crompton has had his consistency rewarded by winning the 2022 Reserves Magarey Medal.

Polling 23 votes, Crompton went one better this year after placing second in the Reserves Magarey Medal last year behind West’s Ed Allan.

West’s Charlie Allan registered 21 votes while North’s Matthew Longbottom was third with 18.

Originally from the Roopena Football Club in Whyalla, the 23-year-old was judged to be best afield in six of his 17 matches while landing votes in a total of 10 games.

Averaging 26 disposals and six clearances this season, Crompton also displayed the defensive side to his game by averaging six tackles.

Making his club League debut for the Bays in Round 9 against West Adelaide, Crompton is the first Tiger to win the Reserves Magarey Medal since Lachie Earl in 2016.
