South Australia’s exciting mature-age talent will have its opportunity to shine when the SA U20 team tackles the SA U18 team at Thebarton Oval on Saturday May 18.

Selectors have released a 29-player squad which features Hostplus SANFL League regulars Kobe Ryan (West Adelaide), Archie Lovelock (Glenelg) and Adam D’Aloia (Woodville-West Torrens).

Emerging players such as Bloods defender Will Patton, Eagles forward Patrick Weckert and South backman Nic Schroder have also had their noteworthy starts to the League season rewarded with selection.

Each SANFL club except for Adelaide has a player in the initial list, with Norwood’s Logan Evans currently representing Port Adelaide under the SANFL’s AFL Rookie Program.

Players will gather for recovery sessions across the next two Sundays – May 5 and 12 – before training begins on Monday May 13 at Thebarton Oval.

An equally important fixture for the SA U18 team, the annual State Youth Match between the SA U20 team and SA U18s will be screened exclusively via The Advertiser’s Kommunity TV platform from 11am.
