Team Yellow’s strong second-half propelled it to a comfortable 31-point win against Team Blue in Sunday’s SANFL U17 Futures match at Adelaide Oval.

North Adelaide’s Tom Tasker, the son of former Rooster and Crow Sean Tasker, shone for Team Yellow with three goals while bigmen Jack Oates (West) and Alex Dodson (Sturt) were other strong contributors.

Team Blue was well led by Norwood’s Jacob Newton while midfielders Sid Draper (South) and Trent Tattoli (Central) were also prominent.

Featuring the best South Australian talent eligible for the 2023 AFL Draft, the SANFL U17 Futures match included an array of players from SANFL clubs.

Only players not participating for their SANFL club in the Reserves, U16 or U18 Torrens University Cup Grand Finals were available for the U17 Futures match.
