SANFL invites you to join us for a morning at the iconic Adelaide Oval as Gather Round kicks off to talk all things turf!
In South Australia, football utilises 299 grounds every year to facilitate State, Regional and Community Competitions whilst school and community venues are used to support football programs and initiatives such as AFL9s, Walking Football and Auskick.
With so much footy being played, and participation continuing to increase with the explosion of female participants – it’s vital that our venues and surfaces are fit for purpose and provide a quality and safe experience for players and umpires.
Learn from leading experts Damian Hough (Head Curator, Adelaide Oval) and Darryl Sellar (Agronomist, Living Turf) on best practice turf management planning and maintenance, including case studies of community venues all the way through to AFL standard, such as the rapid transformation of the surface at Norwood Oval for Gather Round in 2023.
This not to be missed event will also feature a tour of Adelaide Oval’s turf management equipment and workshop, as well as an opportunity to walk on the hallowed turf of Adelaide Oval.
