The SANFL has announced the launch of an exciting new-look Adelaide Oval membership, giving South Australian football fans more access to AFL games in season 2023 than ever before, including the inaugural festival of footy.

The re-branded Ultimate Football Membership, managed by the SANFL, replaces the previous Adelaide Oval Football Membership and provides much greater value at no extra cost.

In addition to gaining access to all Adelaide and Port Adelaide AFL home games in the Western Stand Members area, the new fully transferable membership will also provide entry to all six AFL games to be played at Adelaide Oval in the festival of footy from April 13-16, 2023.

Another bonus for members is the expanded full reciprocal entry rights to other stadiums around the country, now including Marvel Stadium and the MCG, the Gabba, ANZ Stadium and SCG.

Prices remain at $345 for a junior membership, $560 for concession card holders and $710 for an adult.

SANFL Chief Executive Officer Darren Chandler said that with extended access to all blockbuster AFL festival of footy matches and Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, the new-look membership provided unrivalled access to football and was expected to help attract more fans back to watching live games.

He said that with a target of attracting 8,000 members in 2023, the re-launch also was part of SANFL’s strategy to help South Australian football rebound after almost three years of the Covid pandemic.

“As a proud Joint Venture partner with SACA in the iconic and world-class Adelaide Oval, the League is uniquely positioned to generate revenue through the Ultimate Football Membership – money which will be invested directly back into football in South Australia at all levels,” Mr Chandler said.

“From our elite State League competitions and Talent pathways to National Pharmacies SANFL Juniors, Novita Wheelchair Football, APM Inclusive League, ECH Walking Footy and indigenous and multicultural programs across the State, the benefits of our competitions and programs are far reaching.”

In another first, the Ultimate Football Membership also includes entry into an exclusive ‘members only’ space on the Village Green behind the Western Stand on match days, as well as stadium promotions, including priority access to concerts and other events.

Members will also gain entry into six SANFL minor round matches, as well as all SANFL Finals and the Grand Final played at Adelaide Oval.

Chandler said that over the past few weeks, 2022 members had been introduced to the new membership, with a positive response and strong uptake of renewals.

The Ultimate Football Membership is now available to the general public, with the full 2023 AFL fixture to be released this week.
