The 2021 event was held in the Riverbank Stand (Southern Stand) at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 20 February.
Formally opened by SANFL Chief Executive – Darren Chandler, the event was attended by close to 150 volunteers from Clubs and Leagues across the state. CLICK HERE to see Darren’s welcome address.

Mike is a former UK Police Inspector who emigrated to Adelaide in 2005 and now has over 15 years experience in the volunteer sector as a volunteer, volunteer manager and advisor on best practice volunteering. He currently manages a large council volunteer program with almost 600 volunteers.
He also has a background in managing not for profit organisations, consulting to sports clubs and overseeing major events which have developed his understanding of the needs, barriers and expectations of volunteers, volunteer managers and volunteer-involved organisations.
Mike was also recently awarded with the inaugural Excellence in Volunteer Management Award at the State Volunteering awards.

With a background in football operations at community level, Nik provides administrative and technical support to leagues and clubs across South Australia in his role at SANFL as the Community Football Administrator. He is responsible for assisting with SportsTG queries, communications with external stakeholders and general football enquiries.

Dave has held the position as State Coaching Manager at SANFL for the past 12 years.
A published author of “Game Based Coaching”, Dave has over 20 years coaching experience across all levels, and is a Level 3 AFL accredited coach.
Dave is passionate about coach education, including the establishment of coach trainer networks to provide mentoring and support to community football coaches.
Dave currently holds his most important coaching role to date, coaching his son’s U8s team!!!

Sport SA is a non-government, not for profit organisation providing industry advocacy, training and professional support to more than 140 member groups and affiliated bodies.
They are responsible for the provision of training related to Child Safeguarding and Member Protection for sporting organisations in South Australia.

Todd is the SANFL’s Game Development Coordinator for Barossa & Lower North
With over 15 year’s experience as a regionally based SANFL Game Development Coordinator, Todd has been involved with all facets of football from Auskick to Seniors.
During this time Todd has been involved in the successful creation of the BLGW Female Football Competition & the Northern Plains Female Football Competition. He continues to work closely with the development of these female competitions as they progress with challenges around ages, rules, player numbers & oval sizes.
With a background in football operations at community level, Nik provides administrative and technical support to leagues and clubs across South Australia in his role at SANFL as the Community Football Administrator. He oversaw the creation of a new junior football club in 2020, the Kensington Cardinals.

Belinda has recently been appointed to the position of Infrastructure and Community Development Manager at SANFL. Belinda has extensive experience in placemaking and project management across various state and local government jurisdictions. She has also held volunteer positions at Kangarilla Football Club and the Hills Football League as a board member.
With over 13 years’ experience in football administration, Jess works across multiple teams at SANFL to deliver high quality project management and outcomes for the benefit of individuals and communities. She is responsible for the management of SANFL’s government grants portfolio, including grant writing and acquittals.
