Round 10 AAMI Talent League Boys Match Wraps

North Adelaide edged its way to the top of the AAMI Talent League table with a 41-point win against West Adelaide at Revo Fitness Oval. 

Piling on 5.2 to the Bloods’ 1.1 amid the muddy conditions in the second quarter, the Roosters swung the momentum in their favour before finishing strongly in the second half.

Roosters’ coaches lauded the efforts of Finn Wundenberg (31 disposals, one goal), Memphis Webb (25 disposals, three goals) and Armani-Jacom Scullino while ruck Ethan Herbert booted four goals.

Westies were driven by the performances of Ted Seager (17 disposals, one goal), Josh Bell and Andrew Crispe while Laurence Andriani racked up 37 possessions.

Sturt showed off its supreme efficiency with the Sherrin in its 27-point victory against Norwood at The Parade.

The Double Blues had 31 fewer disposals for the night, as well as 13 less inside 50 entries yet managed to lead at every change en route to banking the premiership points.

Sturt’s Jack Nelson impressed in booting two goals with his 27 disposals while Kale Matthews-Hampton (29 disposals) and Taj Garrett (20 disposals) were also prominent.

Norwood had Kai Ivins (23 disposals), Thomas Neal (19 disposals) and William Tanner (28 disposals) battle hard to get their side back into the contest.

Glenelg kept in touch with the top four with a powerful second-half display in its 52-point win against South Adelaide at Magain Stadium. 

Leading by just eight points at half-time, the Tigers slammed on 12.1 to the Panthers’ 4.5 in the remaining two quarters to claim the fifth win of their campaign.

Bays midfielders Jacob McNicol (28 disposals, two goals) and Jimmy Hele (31 disposals, one goal) were heavy influences in the result, as way talented tall Harry Franz (13 disposals, seven marks).

Still sitting in second place, the Panthers had captain Kodah Edwards (27 disposals, two goals), Cain Florance (18 disposals, one goal) and Jayce Potter (23 disposals) fly the blue and white flag.

Woodville-West Torrens’ defensive prowess was a key factor in its 37-point triumph against Central District at X Convenience Oval. 

Restricting the Bulldogs to just two goals across the opening three quarters, the Eagles were able to kick 11.9 after the first change to enjoy a comfortable win.

Inform Eagles midfielder Romario Clemente (23 disposals) continued his fine touch along with Connor Rugari (23 disposals) while intercept defender Mitch Harris had 14 disposals and seven marks.

Bulldogs William Cameron (21 disposals), Jack Gordon (29 disposals) and Cooper Tamas were praised for maintaining their high workrate.
