North Adelaide defeated Norwood by nine points in an absorbing Hostplus SANFLW League battle at The Parade.
It was a slow start for both teams, with no major score recorded in the first half of the game.
Aprille Crooks finally broke through for the Roosters in the third quarter, which was quickly followed up by a brilliant running goal from the pocket by Ashleigh George.
Redlegs’ forward Mykaela Walker found the goals for the home side, taking a strong grab directly in front of goal and kicking truly to get Norwood on the board in the third term.
Keira Copeland (North) and Stephanie Simmonds (Norwood) were the only other goal scorers for the game.
Krystal Thompson (16 disposals, seven tackles), Audrey Holt (nine tackles), Lauren Gauci (22 disposals, four clearances) and Julia Watson (16 disposals, four marks, four tackles) were among some of the best for the Roosters, who now sit two points outside the top four.
Redlegs’ captain Jade Halfpenny continued her stellar form, notching up 23 disposals, seven tackles, five marks and four clearances, with Sarah Branford (six marks, eight rebound 50s), Elle Lineage (seven marks) and Elke Cameron (eight tackles) all battling hard for Norwood.

Woodville-West Torrens continued its flying start to the season, defeating Glenelg by 19 points at Stratarama Stadium.
Tigers forward Eloise Mackereth got things underway for the home side, before Eagles youngster Ruby Matthews got the visitors on the board, with Kiana Lee (Glenelg) and Marlie Fiegert (Eagles) also finding the goals in the first quarter.
Mackereth bagged back-to-back goals early in the third term, before the Eagles kicked five unanswered majors from Klaudia O’Neill (three), Fiegert and Matthews, before Mackereth slotted her fourth of the day.
Eagles’ debutant Anika Tran capped off the scoring for the visitors in the final term, as they now sit a game clear on top of the ladder.
Alice Tentye continued her spectacular rise in the Hostplus SANFLW League, recording 31 disposals, 14 tackles, nine clearances and seven inside 50s, with O’Neill (six marks), Lucy Moore (20 disposals, eight tackles, eight inside 50s) and Ruby Lynch (21 disposals, five tackles, five inside 50s) all excellent for the Eagles.
Isla Wiencke (16 disposals, 11 tackles, seven clearances), Asha Dufour (16 disposals, five tackles), Ellie Kellock (six marks) and Tori Evans (19 disposals, five marks) were among the best performers for the Tigers as they still hunt for their first win of the season.

Sturt secured its second win of the season, defeating Central District by 11 points at Thomas Farms Oval.
Double Blues goal sneak Madeline Nuss was up to her usual antics in the first term, slotting her first major of the day to put Sturt up by one goal at the first break.
Georgia King – fresh off a SANFLW State Team debut – took a solid mark directly in front of goal, calmly slotting her side’s second of the day to put them 13 points up, before Central’s Charlotte Mauritis kicked a huge major to reduce the margin to five points at the main break.
Goals were hard to come by in the second half, with Nuss the lone goal scorer for Sturt early in the final quarter.
Isobel Kuiper (18 disposals, 10 tackles, six clearances) was everywhere for Sturt, as was Lily Whitcombe (19 disposals, four inside 50s), captain Alex Ballard (16 disposals, eight marks) and Georgia Swan (17 disposals, eight tackles, five inside 50s, four clearances).
Doggies’ ruck Miyu Endersby had a field day with 43 hit outs, 16 disposals and five tackles, with Shelby Smith (19 disposals, nine tackles), Izabella Nisbet (15 disposals, four clearances) and Holly Tralaggan (16 disposals, four tackles) the best performers for Central.

South Adelaide engineered an emphatic 61-point win over West Adelaide at Magain Stadium.
The Panthers kicked an astonishing nine unanswered goals in the first three quarters, with Doreena Hansen, Hope Taylor and Melissa Anderson all kicking two, and Layla Vizgaudis and Olivia Evans also finding the scoreboard.
The Panthers recorded double the number of clearances than West (42 to 21) which in turn translated to their 38 to 17 inside 50 count, putting the Bloods’ defence under a considerable amount of pressure.
Hansen continued the onslaught of goals from last year’s Hostplus SANFLW League premier, with Westies finally getting on the board via Summer Malone, who kicked her first goal for the club, before Taylor continued the Panthers’ goal-kicking ways, slotting her side’s 10th major of the day.
Evans (22 disposals, 10 tackles, six marks, five clearances), Emma Charlton (10 tackles, 10 clearances), Vizgaudis (32 disposals, seven clearances, six inside 50s) and Anderson (10 marks) were among some of the best performers in an incredibly strong showing from South.
West’s Zoe Venning (29 disposals, eight clearances, six tackles) lead the way for the Bloods, and was well supported by Emily Mableson (19 disposals, nine tackles), Olivia Smith (11 tackles) and Jemima Woods (15 disposals, four tackles).
