Central District is the inaugural AAMI Talent League Girls minor premier after thumping North Adelaide by 57 points at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.
After a fairly even first quarter with goals to Sienna Antony (Central) and Charlotte Thompson (North), the Doggies turned on the jets in the second quarter, with Tarly Borgas and Jyearah Newchurch combining for two goals.
Heading into the second half, Antony kicked her second before Jessica Du Randt kicked Central’s third.
The eventual minor premier kicked four goals in the last quarter with Sophie Bevis, Madison Meek, Ella Sergi and Du Randt all finding the goals as the Dogs surged into first place on the ladder.
Antony was everywhere for the Dogs with 30 disposals, 10 tackles, and four clearances, with Bevis (21 disposals, seven clearances), Cassie Wasley (eight tackles), and Tarly Borgas (18 disposals, five inside 50s) some of Central’s best as they sent a warning sign to its fellow finalists.
Among the best for the Roosters were Chloe Spanagel (14 disposals, eight tackles, five marks), Ella Demertzis (eight tackles), Ava Mooney (16 disposals, six tackles), and Bianca Mercuri (16 disposals).
Central will now turn its attention to its Semi Final clash with Sturt at X Convenience Oval this Saturday at 5pm, with the winner going through to the Grand Final.

Sturt thumped Woodville-West Torrens by 92 points at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval to surge into the finals of the AAMI Talent League Girls.
It was all Double Blues on Saturday afternoon as they leap-frogged the Eagles to jump into fourth spot on the ladder, thus making finals.
First quarter goals to Miller Thompson (two), and Jessie Merrigan got Sturt underway, with Alicia Gevers and Winnie Thornquest following suit in the second term to give the visitors a 35-point lead heading into half-time.
Erin Conn, Aaliyah Fox, Roszi Bentley, Thornquest and Gevers all found the goals in the penultimate quarter, with Sturt capitalising on its 41 to 21 inside 50 count.
Layla May, Gevers and Thompson (two) continued momentum in the final term, as the Double Blues knocked the Eagles out of finals contention.
Fox (20 disposals, 11 tackles, five clearances), Thornquest (19 disposals, eight marks, six inside 50s), Emily Duthy (20 disposals, nine tackles), and Isabel Smart (21 disposals, five marks) were all prolific for Sturt in its biggest win of the AAMI Talent League Girls this season.
Lucy Farnsworth (24 hit outs), Mayah Edwards (16 disposals, five clearances), Mia Smith (16 disposals, five tackles), and Ava Shreeve (seven tackles) were standouts for the Eagles in a tough loss.
Sturt will face Central District in the Semi Final against Central District at X Convenience Oval this Saturday at 5pm, with the winner going through to the Grand Final.

West Adelaide finished its season on a high with a 26-point win over Glenelg at Magain Stadium.
After a series of missed shots on goal, the Bloods got on the board with back-t0-back goals from Mercy Walsh to give her side a three-goal lead at quarter time.
Fresh off a victory with the AAMI SA U16 Girls team, Glenelg’s Rosie Munn kicked her side’s first to breathe some life into the game for the Tigers.
Heading into the second half 13 points up, West put the jets on, kicking four unanswered goals via Ava Barton (two), Annabella Walden and Zara Downes, with the Tigers slotting two final quarter goals from Lily Bartholomaeus and Lily Jinks.
Walsh was excellent for the Bloods, notching up 22 disposals, 11 tackles, eight clearances, and eight inside 50s, as Walden (19 disposals, 11 tackles), Brooklyn Muller (28 hit outs), and Mary Rose Bahls Kildea (22 disposals, five marks) all starred in their side’s victory.
Glenelg’s Jinks (18 disposals, 10 tackles, six clearances, five inside 50s), Ada-Mae Koch (five marks), Grace Altschwager (nine tackles), and Halle Steel (seven tackles) were all excellent for the Bays.
South Adelaide notched up a 26-point win over Norwood at Magain Stadium.
Three first quarter goals from the Panthers set the home side up for victory, with goals from Ellie Jones, and Danika Millard (two).
Taryn Vizgaudis was the lone goal scorer in the second term, slotting one early, with no goals kicked by either team for the rest of the match in an extremely defensive contest.
Port Noarlunga product Zoe Flesfadar put on a clinic for the Panthers with 35 disposals, 10 marks, nine tackles, and eight clearances, and was well supported by Lily Dunstall-Bruce (25 disposals, five marks), Alexis Harvey (19 disposals, five tackles), and Halle Crowe (16 disposals, seven tackles).
Redlegs’ captain Molly Sennar notched up 18 disposals, six tackles, and four marks, with Riley Pearson (17 disposals, six rebound 50s), Summer Scardingo (15 disposals), and Kirralee Johns (five tackles), among the best for Norwood.
The two sides will now face off in the Semi Final this Saturday night at X Convenience Oval, with the winner going through to the Grand Final.
