North Adelaide stunned previously-undefeated Glenelg by 94 points at Stratarama Stadium in Round 9 of the AAMI Talent League Boys U16s.

The Roosters completely dominated the contest, conceding just one Tiger goal all game whilst piling on 17 of their own to send an ominous warning to the rest of the competition.

Kade Clark (32 disposals and 11 clearances) and Samuel Pedlar (27 disposals and two goals) starred as five Roosters kicked multiple goals, Diesel Arnold leading the way with three.

Zane Rooney tried hard all game and finished with 35 disposals, 11 inside-50s and the only Glenelg goal of the game, while Caleb Jones and Josh Salievic also stood up.

A terrific second-half fightback saw Norwood defeat Woodville-West Torrens by 18 points at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

The Redlegs trailed by 26 points late in the second quarter before nailing 10 of the last 13 goals to collect their first win since the opening round.

Influential in Norwood’s response, Mitchell Weaving kicked three second-half goals, while teammates Kalani Fraser (26 disposals, 10 tackles, nine clearances and two goals) and Patrick Boehm (18 disposals, 16 hit-outs and nine clearances) combined brilliantly at stoppages.

Connor Willmer was the Eagles leading possession-winner with 25, Damien Wanganeen managed 18 disposals and Liam Weatherley was the only multiple-goal kicker for the home side with two.

Sturt held on to defeat South Adelaide by four points in a see-sawing affair at Thomas Farms Oval.

The Double Blues took a 17-point lead into the half-time break and led by the same margin at the 13-minute mark of the final term before late goals to Panthers Cody Hastwell and Billy Brind nearly helped the visitors snatch the points.

Midfielders Jacob Westley (35 disposals, 12 inside-50s and two goals) and Jesse Nunan (33 disposals and a goal) did most of the heavy lifting for Sturt, while Emmett O’Keefe (12 disposals, three contested marks and a goal) provided a target in attack.

Reliable South utility Liam Bell impressed again with 34 disposals, 10 inside-50s and a goal.

West Adelaide made it three wins in a row with a 23-point victory over Central District at X Convenience Oval.

Despite momentarily giving up the lead in the second term, West led at every change and finished with an even spread of contributors.

Bloods forwards Izac Labastida and Lucas Piggott each booted four goals while midfielder Naman Mittal impressed with 25 disposals, six clearances and six inside-50s.

Once again it was Logan Treverton who led the way for Central, gathering 40 disposals and nine clearances, as teammates Josh Munday (three goals) and ruckman Connor Samain (17 disposals, 30 hit-outs and a goal) also played their roles well.
