Norwood claimed an emphatic 52-point victory over Glenelg at Stratarama Stadium in Round 10 of the Hostplus SANFLW League.

The Tigers never really got a look in on Saturday night, with the Redlegs slamming home nine unanswered goals across the first three terms, with Coby Morgan and Mykaela Walker both slotting two – the visitors having a 53-point lead at three-quarter-time.

Astrid Gooley finally found the goals for the Bays early in the final term, before Georgie Fielder kicked an excellent running goal to reduce the margin to 42 points.

However, it was short-lived as Kaianne Colbung-Ware and Lani Cocks slotted back-to-back goals to extend the margin back to 52 points, the Redlegs now sitting equal first on points at the top of the Hostplus SANFLW League ladder.

Cocks was everywhere for Norwood, notching up 22 disposals to go along with 10 tackles, five inside 50s and four clearances, as Jade Halfpenny (25 disposals, nine tackles, seven inside 50s, five clearances), Morgan (19 disposals), and youngster Ella Anderson (18 disposals, five rebound 50s) led from the front to make it five wins in a row for the Redlegs.

Cassie McWilliam (21 hit outs, five tackles), Ellie Kellock (19 disposals, three clearances), Isla Wiencke (19 disposals, eight tackles, six clearances) and Tori Evans (16 disposals, six marks) were among the best in a tough outing for Glenelg.

Central District defeated reigning premier South Adelaide by 10 points at Stratarama Stadium to make it three wins in a row.

The Doggies kicked three unanswered goals from Alysha Healy, Laitiah Huynh and Miyu Endersby, with wayward kicking costing the Panthers early.

The only other goal from the game came from South’s Layla Vizgaudis, who slotted a brilliant long-range goal in the final term, but it was not enough to get South back in the game – the Panthers having now recorded five losses in a first season for the first time since 2022.

Huynh led the way for Central with 20 disposals, seven clearances, six tackles and five marks, along with Shelby Smith (19 disposals, five clearances), Ella Randall (seven tackles), and Miyu Endersby (32 hit outs).

Panthers’ Soriah Moon dominated in her side’s loss, with 40 hit outs, 26 disposals, 17 clearances, eight tackles and five inside 50s, as Nikki Nield (24 disposals, seven tackles), Jessica Chyer (20 disposals, seven tackles), and Layla Vizgaudis (20 disposals, six clearances) battled hard all afternoon.

West Adelaide overcame a slow start to defeat Sturt by 16 points at Stratarama Stadium.

The Double Blues got off to a strong start, with Ruby Cunningham and Madeline Nuss getting their side on the board early to take a 10-point lead heading into the first break.

Bloods forward Jemima Woods found the goals late in the second term, snapping it around her body on a tight angle to reduce the margin to three points at the main break.

Adrienne Davies put West in front early in the third term before Georgia King took the lead back for Sturt, however it was short-lived, as Sarah Campbell put the Bloods back in front at the penultimate break.

Riverland product Molly Petersen slotted West’s fourth and final major of the day, the Bloods claiming their third victory of the season.

2025 SANFLW Best and Fairest Zoe Venning was up to her usual tricks, collecting 16 disposals, 13 tackles, and six clearances, with Emily Mableson (18 disposals, 12 tackles, five inside 50s), Tess Huxtable (36 hit outs), and Madi Russell (18 disposals, eight rebound 50s, six marks) all excellent for West.

Izzy Kuiper was a clear standout for Sturt with 28 disposals, 11 tackles, and six clearances. Alex Pearce (23 hit outs, five tackles), Lily Whitcombe (four marks, four tackles), and Georgia Swan (14 disposals, five inside 50s) were also all solid for the Double Blues.

North Adelaide recorded a solid 33-point win over Woodville-West Torrens at Stratarama Stadium.

Eagles’ Cherylle Waters kicked the first major, before the Roosters – courtsey of captain Amber Ward (two), Polly Turner, Zara Molloy and Lakeisha Sheffield – piled on the goals, which were finally stopped by Klaudia O’Neill who slotted her 23rd major of the season.

Ward was the lone goal scorer in the third quarter, taking a strong pack grab early, before going back and kicking truly for her third major, the Roosters taking a handy 25-point lead into three-quarter-time.

Turner kicked her second early in the final quarter, with Eagles’ young gun Maia Freemantle reducing the margin back down to 26 points, however Chloe Nettle extended the lead to 33 points – the Roosters now knocking down the door of the top four.

Julia Clark (18 disposals, five tackles, five inside 50s), Turner (20 disposals, two goals, six marks, five tackles), Ward (19 disposals, three goals, six marks), and the 50-gamer Ella Metcalfe (18 disposals, five marks, five rebound 50s) were among the best for North.

Tahlita Buethke (24 disposals, 11 tackles, four clearances), Freemantle (19 disposals, seven clearances, six tackles), Julia Faulkner (14 tackles), and Lucy Moore (17 disposals, seven tackles, six clearances) all battled hard in a disappointing day for the Eagles.
