South Aussie Select with Tony Bamford

The 2024 return of South Aussie Select, SANFL’s exclusive AFL Draft podcast, features the insight of SA U18 coach Tony Bamford.

Bamford, who also oversees SANFL’s U18 Talent Academy, provides insight into the Croweaters in the mix to have their names called at the AFL National Draft and Rookie Draft from November 20-22.

Potential first-round selections Sid Draper and Alex Dodson are first up while likely Carlton father-son selections Ben and Lucas Camporeale are described as ”mad” by Bamford, such is their hunger to drive each other to high standards.

The two Charlies – Nicholls and West – are examined as key forward prospects while Norwood pair Ned Bowman and Jacob Newton have both developed in different ways this season to display their versatility.

And for the Power fans, their are updates on father-son types in Rome Burgoyne and Louie Montgomery, as well as Next Generation Academy chance Benny Barrett.
