The SANFL is pleased to announce the extension of its partnership with leading national insurer AAMI across men’s and women’s football in South Australia.

The partnership extension will see AAMI continue to be aligned to the SANFL Men’s and Women’s State Leagues in 2024, as well as Official Partner of the Think! Road Safety SA Country Football Championships, to be held in Victor Harbor in July.

In season 2024, AAMI also will continue as naming rights partner of the SANFL Rookies program, whereby community football clubs are rewarded for fostering talent.

In 2023, with 49 AAMI Rookies making their debut in the Hostplus SANFL League, the program contributed a total of $24,500 to those players’ foundation community clubs.

For the first time, the AAMI Rookies program also was extended to the Hostplus SANFL Women’s League, with an AAMI Rookie selected every Round to recognise debutants at the elite female level.

AAMI also will continue to be aligned to the AAMI Dash for Cash event in 2024, now a regular feature at half-time of the Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final. In 2023, the AAMI Dash for Cash saw $50,000 invested back to the eight SANFL clubs.

“AAMI’s alignment to the Rookies Program has ensured maximum exposure for debutants of our elite State League competitions, while importantly recognising each of these players’ grassroots community clubs.''

SANFL CEO Darren Chandler

AAMI’s Executive General Manager, Workers Compensation, Allicia Tsolis, said:

“AAMI is pleased to continue our support as Premier Partner of SANFL for both the Men and Women’s Leagues.

“Supporting South Australia is really important for AAMI, whether that’s on the field, at home or on the road.

“We are a big supporter of the AFL nationally, and through SANFL we can share our love for footy in a state that is just as passionate about the game as we are.

“Over the past three years, AAMI has provided support to local footy clubs and communities by funding clubs to assist with facilities upgrades, purchase new equipment and improve player development programs.

“We look forward to continuing our support of SANFL, local footy clubs and the South Australian community in 2024.”

SANFL Chief Executive Officer Darren Chandler said AAMI’s ongoing commitment to partner with SANFL would further strengthen the men’s and women’s State League competitions, as well as community football across the State.

“AAMI’s support of our Hostplus SANFL League and SANFLW has helped drive an exciting game day experience for footy fans through the new SANFL Super Match initiative and we look forward to expanding on that in season 2024,” Mr Chandler said.

“AAMI’s alignment to the Rookies Program has also ensured maximum exposure for debutants of our elite State League competitions, while importantly recognising each of these players’ grassroots community clubs.

“We are also excited to see the Country Championships grow to be the biggest regional event on the football calendar, and without the valuable support of partners such as AAMI, events such as these would not be possible.”
