The Torrens University SA U16 team will aim to win back-to-back AFL National Championship crowns when it tackles Victoria Metro in Game 3 at Southport on Friday.
Coming off a stunning 73-point win against Victoria Country in Game 2 on Tuesday, the Croweaters need to defeat their arch-rival in the first contest of the day at 9am while also relying on Victoria Country defeating Western Australia in the match starting at 11.45am.
This is because SA lost Game 1 to the Sandgropers in Perth, giving them head-to-head billing should both teams finish with a 2-1 win-loss record.
Coach Julian Farkas has named an unchanged line-up for Game 3, with captain Dyson Sharp and his deputy Blake Oudshoorn-Bennier coming off strong performances while ruckman Aiden Schubert displayed his versatility in booting three goals against Victoria Country.
South Australia is chasing its seventh U16 AFL National Championship, having claimed titles in 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2022.
