Woodville-West Torrens kept in touch with the Torrens University SANFL U18 top-four with a vital 15-point win against Glenelg at Stratarama Stadium.

The Eagles’ second win of the season ensures they remain just one victory behind the fourth-placed Bays but had they lost, would have slumped to a concerning 1-4 win-loss record.

Instead, their season is well on track after leading at every change against the reigning premier, recording a significant inside 50 differential of 58 to 36.

Eagle Kade Herbert was outstanding with 31 disposals, five clearances, seven tackles and three goals to be best afield while fellow midfielders Brody Mair (28 disposals, six clearances) and Pat Toole (17 disposals, two goals) were also influential.

Glenelg praised Harry Ramm for his effort throughout the contest while Charlie McAuliffe (26 disposals, one goal) and Anders McShane (25 disposals) also battled valiantly.

Central District lifted itself into outright first on the Torrens University SANFL U18 ladder with a 38-point win against Sturt at Wigan Oval.

Now the only team boasting a 4-1 win-loss record after five rounds, the Bulldogs led at every change while dominating the stoppages with a 38 to 22 advantage at the clearances.

Round 4 Torrens University MVP Trent Tattoli continued his eye-catching touch with 24 disposals and eight clearances while Will McCabe (31 disposals, nine marks) and James Noack (13 disposals) also drew attention from Central’s coaching staff.

Sturt’s Brodie Maloney and Thomas McCourt played their roles in positive fashion while Declan Gladigau chimed in with 21 disposals, six marks and a goal.

South Adelaide had no shortage of scoreboard contributors as it engineered a 21-point win against West Adelaide at Flinders University Stadium.

As many as 11 Panthers logged their names on the goal kickers list as Jack Delean (four) and Jake Agnew (three) booted seven majors between them.

Star South midfielders Sid Draper (32 disposals, 12 clearances, one goal) and Phoenix Hargrave (24 disposals, one goal) were in the thick of the action again while Ryan Pearsons was a positive contributor with 17 possessions and a goal.

Suddenly laden with an 0-5 win-loss record, the Bloods had Kade Hilton (three goals, 17 disposals), Jordan Gadaleta and Will Patton (22 disposals, one goal, seven tackles) fight hard to the final siren.
