The Statewide Super SA U19 Girls Team will be close to a full strength line-up when it hosts Western Australia at Flinders University Stadium on Sunday.
Only North Adelaide’s Hannah Ewings (ankle) and Eagles’ tall Brooklyn Kraft (knee) will be sidelined due to injury as the Croweaters confront the Sandgropers from 1pm.
Speed will be a key feature of coach Tim Weatherald’s side, with Jade Halfpenny and Laitiah Huynh boasting plenty in attack while Kate Case and Keeley Kustermann offer plenty of running power through the middle of the ground.
AFLW Academy members Zoe Prowse (ruck) and Gypsy Schirmer (wing) will have important roles to play while 15-year-old sensation Lauren Young will start in the centre square.
As many as six players can start on the interchange, with a further four listed as emergencies.
The contest will be the first of a three-match campaign for the Statewide Super SA U19 Girls Team, with two matches – against the Allies and Queensland – to come in April at the NAB AFLW U19 National Championships on the Gold Coast.
