The second SANFL Club Development Day has been hailed a huge success, with attendance more than doubling on last year’s inaugural event.
Held on Sunday at Football Park, the SANFL Club Development Day attracted more than 170 administrators, officials and volunteers from South Australian Community Football Clubs.
Speaking on SANFL Radio, Community Football Manager Matt Duldig said they had already received plenty of positive feedback considering the wide variety of subjects covered in the lectures delivered throughout the day.
A key note presentation was delivered by leadership facilitators Leading Teams, with elective sessions including information on using Footyweb, attracting and retaining volunteers, senior player recruitment, grant applications and fundraising.
The event was free of charge, with attendees provided with lunch and a range of resources to improve the operation of their community club.
Duldig confirmed the SANFL Club Development Day would continue as an annual event, usually held in February as clubs begin to get set up for the season ahead.
