South Australia’s hottest new indoor golf and entertainment venue has swung into action.

The SANFL officially opened its doors on Friday to SA’s largest X-Golf and Hey Caddy franchise, located above SANFL’s Mosaic Hotel on Turner Drive at West Lakes.

X-Golf West Lakes features six cutting-edge X-Golf simulators – transporting players to some of the world’s best digital courses – an 18-hole Hey Caddy mini-golf course, full-service kitchen offering fan favourites such as pizza and sliders, and a fully licensed bar.

X-Golf West Lakes also offers the signature national X-Golf virtual competition ‘X-Golf League’, lessons from a resident golf pro, kids’ birthdays, school programs, corporate events and parties.

It is the second, and biggest, X-Golf and Hey Caddy venue in South Australia, created in the former ‘Magarey’ function room of Football Park.

The new 18-hole Hey Caddy indoor mini-golf course now open at West Lakes.

SANFL CEO Darren Chandler said SANFL was excited to be opening the doors to X-Golf West Lakes, which will cater for golfers wanting to improve their game or for people just looking to have a good time with friends and family in a relaxed environment.

“X-Golf and Hey Caddy will offer exciting year-round entertainment for players of all ages and abilities, from weekend hackers to scratch golfers, beginners and everyone in between,” he said.

“We believe X-Golf West Lakes and Hey Caddy will also be a big hit for those looking for a casual meal and drink with friends or wanting a unique space for functions, corporate team building days, school holiday entertainment or birthday parties.

“The venue will be owned and managed by SANFL and the purchase of the X-Golf franchise aligns with our strategic goal of identifying ventures that can generate revenue to be re-invested into growing football in SA.

“With school holidays just around the corner we urge people to book early to be among the first to enjoy the X-Golf and Hey Caddy experience.”

X-Golf West Lakes will employ up to 25 full-time and casual staff.

SANFL is Australia’s first sporting organisation to open an X-Golf franchise.
