South Adelaide has won its fourth U17 Statewide Super Shield in succession after a hard-fought 30-point win against Glenelg in the Grand Final at ACH Group Stadium on Sunday.
It was a punishing second half from the Panthers, coached by Ryan Skouborg, which saw them draw away from a gallant Tigers outfit coached by former Bays forward Lexia Edwards.
After the game during presentations, both coaches acknowledged the parents of all the players, especially those who drove great distances to provide their daughters with the opportunity to play in Statewide Super Shield competition.
In other matches, the Redlegs were over-run by the Bulldogs after a blistering first term with the breeze to go down by 22 points. The Eagles were too strong for the Roosters to the tune of 45 points and the Bloods were too good for a strong Sturt outfit, running out victors by 11 points.
