South Australia has four players, including a trio of Bulldogs, preparing for the 2024 AFLW National Draft Combine in Melbourne.
To be held from Friday October 4 to Sunday October 6, the AFLW National Draft Combine will be held in conjunction with the boys AFL National Draft Combine at the MCG and Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
Physical testing will include the vertical jump, running vertical jump, 20-metre sprint, agility test and 2km time trial.
Charlotte Riggs, Georgia McKee and Jasmine Evans will all represent Central District while 2024 AFL U18 All-Australian Esther Schirmer (South Adelaide) has also attracted the attention of AFLW scouts.
Sturt’s India Rasheed (hip), Glenelg’s Poppy Scholz (ankle) and Eagle Grace Martin (back) won’t participate due to injury after initially being invited.
A further nine SANFLW stars have been invited to the AFLW State Draft Combine, to be held in Adelaide on Saturday October 12.
This includes mature-age South Adelaide premiership prospect Tiffany King and SA U18 captain Violet Patterson, who is eligible to be selected by Collingwood under the father-daughter rule.
