SANFL is thrilled to announce McDonald’s as a new Premier Partner for the next three years, providing a further major boost for both State League and grassroots Community Football.

Previously a naming rights partner of the men’s State League competition in 2017-18, the return of McDonald’s to SANFL this season will mark the start of a new partnership commitment until at least the end of 2024.

SANFL Chief Executive Officer Darren Chandler said the commitment from McDonald’s as a Premier Partner would greatly support both the men’s and women’s State League competitions, as well as community football leagues across the state.

“McDonald’s has been an outstanding supporter of our game nationally for both men, women and juniors, and we are thrilled to welcome them back as a Premier Partner of SANFL in 2022,” Mr Chandler said.

“The commitment and support from McDonald’s is a significant boost for the future of footy in South Australia.”

McDonald’s have been proud supporters of SANFL over the past decade, commencing a major partnership in 2012 aligned to all SANFL junior football competitions in South Australia, including the elite SANFL Under 18s competition.

McDonald’s Australia Market Manager for South Australia, Alex Carapetis, said:

“South Australians have a special connection with footy for the experiences and moments it has created over the decades.

“As a long-term partner of the SANFL, we are proud to help connect fans with the sport they love and we continue to invest in the growth of grassroots football across South Australia through both the corporation and our Franchisees.

“The game has changed so much since our partnership began, with the women’s league expanding rapidly, and we can’t wait see what the future will bring.”

In what will be a first for SANFL this coming season, the iconic Macca’s® logo will feature on all goal flags for men’s Hostplus SANFL League matches.

The golden arches logo also now appears on the official match ball for the Hostplus SANFL Women’s League.

The 2022 Hostplus SANFL League kicks off with the SANFL Showdown tomorrow afternoon at Adelaide Oval and the remaining four opening round matches on Saturday.

The Hostplus SANFL Women’s League continues with Round 8 this weekend.
