SANFL Has All Bases Covered in 2019

By ZAC MILBANK

If you can’t make it to the game to watch your favourite SANFL team, there will be no excuse not to follow its progress with multiple platforms covering all of the Statewide Super League action in 2019.

Telecast partner Channel 7 will again be screening live coverage throughout the minor round and finals series, with as many as 22 games to feature this year.

In December, SANFL and Channel 7 inked a new three-year deal to telecast Statewide Super League matches until the end of 2021, with the first contest screened this year being the Round 2 clash between 2016 Grand Finalists Sturt and the Eagles.

SANFL will also welcome the presence of radio station SEN for the first time in its history, with the specialist sports broadcasting channel to call one game per week on 1629AM.

The Preliminary Final rematch between the Eagles and North Adelaide this Sunday will kick things off with a bang for SEN, with commentators John Casey and Andrew Hayes to relay all of the action from Oval Avenue.

SEN’s debut will be in addition to the ongoing radio coverage provided by 1079 Life, with the FM station to broadcast one match each round starting with South Adelaide hosting Central District in Round 1.

And of course, SANFL’s own platform – the Digital Pass – will again screen every single match – live and on demand – of the Statewide Super League season, including all finals at Adelaide Oval.

With SANFL’s Digital Pass commentary team to again be led by respected former ABC caller Peter Walsh, there will be plenty of colourful moments mixed in with analysis from current and former SANFL players and coaches.

If you are on the run, then the Official SANFL App is the place to go for all of the latest scores and statistics as each game unfolds, ensuring you can ride the bumps of every play while cheering your team on to victory.
