South Adelaide survived a spirited Norwood comeback to defeat the Redlegs by just three points at Magain Stadium in Round 4 if the AAMI Talent League Boys U16s.

The Panthers faultless accuracy ensured they held a six-point advantage at half-time, but Norwood never gave in as two final-term goals to Zephyr Thomson and Zayne Hitch gave the hosts a fright.

South duo Darcy Campbell-Kearney and Archie Wheaton both made an impact in the middle and pushed forward to boot two goals apiece, while Fergus Vogt impressed in the air once again.

For Norwood, Thomson led all-comers with 26 disposals, Hitch finished with three goals from his 23 disposals and James Mudge booted two goals.

Sturt produced a stunning final term to defeat Woodville-West Torrens by five points at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Trailing by 19 points at three-quarter time, the Double Blues were staring down the barrel of their first loss of the season before slamming through the last five goals of the game to deny the Eagles an upset victory.

Sturt’s Jacob Westley (28 disposals and two goals) and Max McGowan (23 disposals and five clearances) were instrumental in the win, along with Xavier Abbott who kicked two final quarter goals.

Eagle Mason Papps managed a game-high 30 disposals, teammate Will Adams booted three goals and Tyson Schultz collected 28 disposals, 10 inside-50s and two goals.

North Adelaide made it two wins in a row with a convincing 38-point victory over Central District at Revo Fitness Oval.

Both sides had their moments but North’s six-goal opening term and seven-goal third quarter proved the difference.

Rooster forwards Diesel Arnold (four goals) and Cohen Haines (three goals) capitalised on the midfield work of prolific duo Harry Hobby (26 disposals and two goals) and Kade Clark (27 disposals and one goal).

The Bulldogs showed glimpses of terrific play, led primarily by ball-magnet Logan Treverton (33 disposals, 11 marks and a goal), but Jake Jones and Joshua Munday finished as Central’s only multiple-goal kickers with two each.

Glenelg produced a powerful second-half to defeat West Adelaide by 66 points at Richmond Oval.

Inaccurate early, the Tigers took a narrow 10-point lead into half-time before breaking open the game by booting 11 of the last 12 goals.

There were no shortage of standouts for the Bays, with Jack Gallagher (38 disposals and 13 marks), Zane Rooney (31 disposals and two goals) and Josh Allan (28 disposals and three goals) all prolific through the midfield.

Bloods backman Lachlan Harman accumulated 27 disposals and 10 rebounds while teammates Liam Cooper (13 disposals and 20 hit-outs) and Kit Saracino (14 disposals, six inside-50s and one goal) stood up.
