An eight-goal first term from Central District laid the foundation for a 56-point win over Norwood at The Parade in Round 10 of the Torrens University SANFL U16s.

The Bulldogs effectively sealed the game in the first quarter, with Norwood improving as the game wore on but unable to peg the margin back.

The usual suspects did the damage for the visitors, with midfielder Dyson Sharp gathering 42 disposals and a goal and forwards Dougie Cochrane and Aidan Schubert both kicking four goals.

Redlegs forward Robert Varcoe continued his strong season by booting three goals, while Will Prescott finished with 29 disposals and nine inside-50s.

Woodville-West Torrens made a statement by defeating finals contender Glenelg by 64 points at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

The Eagles kept the Bays goalless in the first half as the likes of Brock Jamieson and Jevan Phillipou ran riot through the midfield.

Glenelg had no answers for the pair, with Jamieson accumulating 41 disposals and nine clearances and Phillipou kicking a goal from his 29 possessions.

Charlie Brodie and Gus Welsby were among Glenelg’s better players, gathering 21 and 20 disposals respectively.

North Adelaide bounced back onto the winners list with a 17-point victory over South Adelaide at Flinders University Stadium.

The Roosters led at every change then survived a late Panthers surge to claim the points and stay in touch with the top four.

Ball magnet Charlie Dickeson was everywhere for North gathering 36 possessions and 18 marks, while teammates Ethan Benbow and Alex Jankovic each booted three goals.

Cain Florance was a standout for South, accumulating 34 touches, seven clearances and a goal in the loss.

Sturt consolidated its position on top of the ladder with a 33-point win over West Adelaide at Hisense Stadium.

In a tight and low-scoring affair, goals proved difficult to come by for both sides.

Double Blues ruckman Blake Thredgold was typically dominant in the ruck duels, winning 24 hit outs to go with his 19 disposals.

Josh Goldie was prolific for the Bloods with 28 disposals and ten rebounds.
