Woodville-West Torrens survived a late scare to hold off Glenelg by three points in Round 2 of the SANFL U16s at Hisense Stadium.
Leading by a comfortable 18 points at the final change, the Eagles could only manage five behinds in the final term as the Bays came charging with 3.2.
But inaccuracy (6.14) proved costly for the Tigers as the Eagles held on through the efforts of Lucien Kravinskis (26 disposals), Will Trengove (22 disposals) and William Andrea (three goals).
Glenelg’s brave bid was led by Cooper Lawson and Ryan Lucas, who each gathered 20 disposals, together with Jack Gallagher, the son of former Crow James Gallagher.

West Adelaide powered away from Norwood in the fourth quarter to earn a confidence-boosting nine point win at Hisense Stadium.
Trailing by two points at three-quarter time, the Bloods made their move by slamming on 4.1 to the Redlegs’ 2.2 in the last stanza.
West’s Laurence Andriani got a fair dose of leather poisoning when he racked up 41 disposals and six clearances while Percy Burgoyne (three goals) and Ty Montomgerie (17 disposals, one goal) were also influential.
Norwood’s Lachlan Leach (20 disposals, one goal) found his share of the footy while Memphis Costanzo and Flynn Gray each booted two majors.

Sturt’s efficiency inside its attacking 50m arc was a key feature in its 13-point victory against Central District at X Convenience Oval.
Despite registering five fewer inside 50m entries, the Double Blues led at every change and managed three more scoring shots to bank valuable premiership points.
SA Under-16 representatives Harvey Chapman (23 disposals, 14 marks) and Taj Garrett (31 disposals, 15 marks) were massive influences in the result for Sturt while Carter Gallasch was a constant threat on goal with 2.4 from his 15 touches.
Central worked hard to haul itself back into the contest in the second half but ultimately didn’t receive enough support for leading performers Archie Faulkner, Billy Nichols (18 disposals, one goal) and Cooper Tamas.

South Adelaide banked some valuable early percentage when it accounted for North Adelaide by 45 points at Magain Stadium.
Opening up a commanding 27-point lead at half-time, the Panthers piled on the pain for the Roosters in the second half to boot 6.9 to 4.3.
Hudson Boal was a standout for the hosts with 30 possessions and six marks while the athletic Zemes Pilot (24 disposals, six clearances, one goal) and Tyler Harris (19 disposals, one goal) were also major contributors.
The Roosters only had five fewer clearances than South but it was too much for them to overcome as Angas Wilton (30 disposals), Ben Stargatt and Blake Amos (33 disposals) refused to concede.
