West Adelaide’s home ground will be known as Hisense Stadium for the next three seasons after the Bloods locked in a new naming rights sponsor.
A leading provider of household appliances, Hisense Australia has enhanced its presence at the Richmond venue after launching the Hisense Lounge in Westies’ clubrooms this year.
West Adelaide Chief Executive Ben Hopkins said the club was thrilled to be partnering with Hisense Australia until the end of the 2022 season.
“Hisense have been fantastic supporters of West Adelaide Football Club and we are ecstatic to be able to play our home games at Hisense Stadium for the next three seasons,” Hopkins said.
“Hisense have a focus on innovation and quality which are values that align closely with those of the club. We are proud to partner with a world-leading brand and look forward to working closely with Hisense during the next three years.”
Home to the Bloods’ Men’s, Women’s and Junior teams, Hisense Stadium will also play host to Adelaide’s AFLW team in 2020, with the Crows playing three of their home matches at Milner Road.
The first will be on Sunday February 16 when Adelaide unfurls its 2019 AFLW Premiership flag before clashing with St Kilda.
“We are ecstatic to be taking the naming rights and introducing Hisense Stadium to sports fans in South Australia in partnership with West Adelaide Football Club,” Hisense Head of Marketing Andre Iannuzzi said.
”Hisense is synonymous with sport in Australia and we have a rich history of sponsorship at various levels locally and internationally. As we continue to invest and grow our brand here in Australia, we are looking forward to working together over the coming years.”
Previous naming rights sponsor City Mazda – since 2009 – will continue its partnership with the Bloods as a key corporate sponsor in 2020 and 2021.
West has been playing its home matches at Richmond since 1958, previously playing host at well-known city venues such as Adelaide Oval and the Adelaide Showgrounds.
