Cameron’s Triple Treat

By ZAC MILBANK

Three goals in 99 Statewide Super League games.

As North Adelaide premiership defender Cameron Craig prepares for his 100th League appearance against Norwood on Sunday, he was able to recall each of his memorable majors with relative ease.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, Craig admitted he makes up for his lack of scoreboard pressure by flying high for his overhead marks whenever the opportunity arises.

The 24-year-old physiotherapist has fond memories of his League debut, which came after he was presented with his guernsey by fellow North backman Luke Ivens in Round 3 of 2013.

Plying his trade at Prospect since joining the Roosters in their Under-13 development squads, Craig recalled how in his opening year at Menzies Crescent he was switched from centre-half forward to defence in one of his first games.

And he hasn’t moved from the backline ever since, something he has relished while reveling in last year’s SANFL Grand Final win against the Redlegs.
