2024 SANFL U17 Futures squad released

A 56-player squad has been released for the 2024 SANFL U17 Futures program, starting in September.
Used as an early guide to the talent considered for the 2025 SA U18 team, the SANFL U17 Futures program will include three weeks of training before culminating in a showcase match at Adelaide Oval on Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final day.
Players chosen will only join the SANFL U17 Futures program once their SANFL team has finished its 2024 campaign, with training set to begin on Tuesday September 3.
Plenty of familiar names are among the 40 U17s in the squad, including Central District midfielder Dyson Sharp, North Adelaide’s Ben Francou and Woodville-West Torrens’ Jevan Phillipou.
As many as 15 ”bottom-age” prospects have also been named, including Kevin Sheehan Medallist Dougie Cochrane, Glenelg’s Kobe Moir and SA U16 captain Kodah Edwards.
The final SANFL U17 Futures team lists and guernsey numbers will be published on the SANFL website during Hostplus SANFL League Grand Final week.
