2022 South Australian AFLW Draft Prospects

Star North Adelaide forward Hannah Ewings (centre) looms as the first South Australian chosen in the 2022 AFLW Draft.

It promises to be the most exciting AFLW Draft from a South Australian perspective.

Not only is the 2022 AFLW Draft the first talent call including both SA AFL clubs following the addition of Port Adelaide, it looms as one choc full of local high-end talent.

Several of South Australia’s victorious AFL Girls U18 National Championship team are available for selection, including North Adelaide premiership star Hannah Ewings.

With just one sleep remaining until the AFLW Draft begins on Wednesday evening, SANFL Media Producer Zac Milbank has profiled some of the top Croweaters in the mix.

''Her kicking is absolutely fantastic and she’s got really strong hands. So she's got that ability, I think, in AFLW terms to be sort of a Dustin Martin-type that can play on-ball and then go forward and hit the scoreboard as well.''

“Is fearless and loves winning the loose ball, is prepared to make contact and certainly isn't afraid to put physical pressure on the opposition, when she doesn't have the footy.”

“Depending on what you need to make up your side, what you've here is one that you can you know is going to be super competitive, can play on a dangerous forward, has got good speed.''

""Has had an excellent year, made the SANFLW Team of the Year. A small forward who uses the ball well, and has good speed and agility too.”
