2020 SANFL Minor Grades Fixtures

By ZAC MILBANK

The fixtures for SANFL’s Reserves, U18 and U16 Torrens University Cup competitions have been released, with South Australia’s best juniors set to be on display in two Showcase Rounds in 2020.

Several of SA’s Draft Targets will be monitored by AFL scouts in Round 1 and Round 5 of the Torrens University Cup U18 competition, with both weekends free of State and College Football commitments in the early part of the season.

Round 1 of the Torrens University Cup U18 schedule will also start a week before the Statewide Super League – March 28-29 – shining a spotlight on SANFL’s elite junior competition.

It will coincide with Round 4 of the Torrens University Cup U16 fixture, which has also been dubbed as a Showcase Round with all Torrens University Cup U16 and U18 games to be played as double-headers at Flinders University and Hisense Stadiums.

Matches on both weekends have also been scheduled with an aim to allow AFL scouts every opportunity to attend as many games as possible.

The SANFL Reserves Grand Final will again be played as a curtain-raiser to the Statewide Super League title-decider at Adelaide Oval, on Sunday September 20.

This will also provide fans with an excellent opportunity to watch SA’s top talent with the likes of Norwood’s Dylan Stephens and Cam Taheny tackling the Eagles’ Kysaiah Pickett (pictured above), Harry Schoenberg and Jackson Mead in this year’s Reserves Grand Final.
