West Adelaide displayed supreme efficiency inside 50m as it held on grimly for four-point AAMI Talent League victory against South Adelaide at Magain Stadium.
The Bloods had just 29 inside 50 entries for the match compared to the Panthers’ 48 yet managed to claim the premiership points despite the hosts getting within a kick entering time-on of the fourth term.
Spring-heeled Nat Lampton caught the eye for the visitors while Jonty Klemm and Josh Woolridge were also key figures in the Bloods’ success after collecting 25 disposals each.
Smooth-moving Sam Walsh (18 disposals) excelled for the Panthers as teammates Jayce Potter (25 disposals) and Mitchell Clifton did their best to haul in the narrow deficit.

A prominent performance from Woodville-West Torrens forward Harvey O’Brien was the catalyst for his team’s comfortable 40-point win against Norwood at The Parade.
O’Brien filled his stats sheet with 21 disposals and four marks to go with his game-breaking haul of six goals as the Eagles led at every change with a 65-37 inside 50m advantage.
Hard-working Eagles Romario Clemente (26 disposals, two goals) and Hunter Rowe (21 disposals) were also positive influences as Giacomo Musci and Jack Marks also bagged a pair of majors.
AAMI SA U18 Squad Member Thomas Gribben put his hand up for selection with 33 disposals, 12 marks and a goal while fellow Redlegs William Tanner (25 disposals) and Joseph Nak (14 disposals, two goals) also tried hard.

North Adelaide sits at the top of the AAMI Talent League ladder after its impressive 59-point victory against Sturt at Revo Fitness Oval.
Establishing a comfortable buffer at every change, the Roosters shut the Double Blues out of the encounter by restricting them to just one goal in the opening three quarters.
North’s coaching staff was pleased with the impact Henley Smith (18 disposals, one goal), Blake Amos (25 disposals, two goals) and Ben Stargatt (16 disposals) had on the outcome of the match.
Hard-running Sturt pair Taj Garrett (26 disposals) and Will Ekberg (25 disposals) refused to give in while utility Ezra Doble also performed well.
Central District elevated itself into the top four as it eclipsed Glenelg by 41 points at Stratarama Stadium.
The Bulldogs produced a powerful second-half performance as they piled on 10.7 to the Tigers’ 5.4 to claim their sixth win of the season.
The hosts had trouble containing Central’s Angus Pringle (32 disposals, 11 clearances), Jordan Ruchs (19 disposals, two goals) and bigman Callan Semmler (13 disposals, seven clearances, one goal).
Glenelg pair Ben Copping (21 disposals, one goal) and Dean Harten (20 disposals) rolled up their sleeves while key forward Josh Jarrad booted six of the Bays’ 10 goals for match.
