There are many ways for kids, men and women to play football throughout metropolitan and country South Australia. SANFL proudly administrates and supports all forms of Australian Rules Football in the state.
Auskick is the key introductory program for children aged five to eight to learn skills of footy through fun activities and mini games. SANFL manages approximately 300 Auskick Centres in SA, providing a fun and safe environment for children to have an Australian Football experience in a community or school-based setting.
Superkick is a modified version of AFL open to all skill levels and backgrounds, offering a tackle-free, highly social environment with shorter seasons and no additional training requirements. Each session kicks off with 15 minutes of skill building, followed by 45 minutes of modified match play where you can put those skills into action.

The SANFL Schools Competition is aimed at providing a fun, safe, inclusive and Introductory football competition for all primary school children in years 2 – 6.
The competition will provide all participants an enjoyable and safe competition whilst at the same time enhancing their football and team skills.

Get involved by joining your local Community Football Club as a player, coach, administrator or volunteer. As many as 26 Community Football Leagues and 256 Clubs exist throughout regional and metro South Australia for more than 50,000 men, women, boys and girls.
The introduction of a south-east football council is the perfect example of SANFL supporting grassroots footy as the majority of these leagues are SANFL affiliated and zoned to a SANFL League club.
Help the kids get their footy fix in the October School Holidays with the SANFL Next Step Program held at Adelaide Oval. Each participant will receive a personalised Guernsey and playing cards, drink bottles and more.
SANFL School holiday clinics provide a fun, safe and inclusive environment for children at any ability aged 5-12. In small groups (less than 20), kids participate in NAB AFL Auskick & Superkick activities designed for fun, whilst developing skills and fitness appropriate to their age.
The SANFL School Clinics are aimed at providing fun, safe, inclusive, and skilled practical sessions for school students. One of our highly skilled coaches will come to your school and conduct a 45 minute session for classes up to 30 students.

This includes facilitating federally funded programs in the APY Lands (Far North) and Maralinga (Far West). SANFL also hosts the annual Don McSweeny Aboriginal Lands Cup at Adelaide Oval between these regions while also managing the SA Kickstart teams at the AFL Diversity Championships.
