A stunning six-goal blitz in the second term propelled Woodville-West Torrens to an upset 13-point win against Sturt at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval in Round 4 of the AAMI Talent League Boys competition.

The Eagles suffered a 47-point loss to the previously unbeaten Double Blues in Round 2 but were able to convert their opportunities this time despite having three fewer inside 50 entries and eight less clearances.

Influential trio Mitchell Harris (24 disposals, 16 marks), Jack Leys (26 disposals, 10 marks) and Will Trengove (27 disposals, one goal) were significant factors in helping the hosts reverse the result from earlier in the season.

Sturt’s Harvey Chapman stood tall with 24 disposals and a goal while midfielders Mitch Brook (16 disposals, two goals) and Jack Nelson (24 disposals) also battled valiantly for the visitors.

North duo Harry Tamblyn (30 disposals) and Sam Tassone (25 disposals) found plenty of the Sherrin while Jackson Penney was also lauded by the coaching staff for his role as teammate Henley Smith soared high for a huge overhead mark.

Central midfielders Jake Eime (24 disposals), Angus Pringle (23 disposals) and Jack Ryan (22 disposals) were unable to edge their team back into the match.

Glenelg remains the only undefeated team in the AAMI Talent League after accounting for West Adelaide by 17 points at Richmond Oval.

The Tigers’ efficiency in front of goal proved pivotal as they had three fewer scoring shots and seven less inside 50s than the Bloods, who at three quarter-time had the score of 5.14 (44).

Bays midfielders Kobe Gibson (29 disposals, four goals) and Jacob McNicol (21 disposals, three goals) not only continue to find the ball but hit the scoreboard as teammate Harvey Raidis tallied 24 touches.

West onball duo Max Perin (26 disposals) and Laurence Andriani (26 disposals, one goal) fought hard as Port Adelaide father-son prospect Percy Burgoyne booted four goals.

Norwood banked its second win of the 2026 campaign with a clinical 36-point victory against South Adelaide at Magain Stadium.

The Redlegs imposed themselves on their opponents with a strong six-goal opening quarter and were rarely headed for the remainder of the encounter whilst leading at every change.

Thomas Gribben (24 disposals) and Tom Waugh (22 disposals, four goals) produced noteworthy performances for the visitors while Sam Bartel also caught the eye of his coaches.

The Panthers lauded the efforts of Cooper Knowles (18 disposals, four goals), Hudson Boal (25 disposals) and Jackson Blacker (20 disposals).
