Norwood secured its first victory of the AAMI Talent League Boys season with a stunning nine-point win against Central District at X Convenience Oval.
Despite trailing at every change, the Redlegs displayed great persistence by piling on 4.5 to the Dogs’ 1.0 in the final term to bank the premiership points.
Norwood’s Charlie Best was influential in the result with 23 disposals while Thomas Gribben (20 disposals) and Oliver Easton (two final term goals) were also vital contributors in the comeback.
Central midfielders Angus Pringle (29 disposals, eight tackles) and Jack Gordon (32 disposals, nine clearances), made the most of the service from ruck Callan Semmler (12 disposals, 12 tackles, 40 hit outs) but were unable to quell the Legs late in the contest.

A blistering nine-goal opening term propelled South Adelaide to a 14-point win against North Adelaide at Alberton Oval.
The Panthers managed to establish a commanding 50-point lead by quarter-time and while the Roosters outscored them in the second half, they held firm in the final term.
A major contributor for South was midfielder Hudson Boal with 28 disposals, seven clearances and 14 tackles while Cain Florance (21 disposals, one goal) and Mitchell Clifton (13 disposals, five clearances) also shone.
North’s Finn Wundenberg, Harry Tamblyn (24 disposals) and Sam Tassone (29 disposals) were instrumental in their team’s spirited fightback.

Glenelg’s dominant second half ensured it would earn a comfortable 31-point win against West Adelaide at Richmond Oval.
Despite a staggering 45 disposals from Bloods midfielder Laurence Andriani, the Tigers were able to build on their two-point half-time lead by slamming on 7.4 to 2.5 for the remainder of the contest.
Bays co-captain Jimmy Hele, the son of former Glenelg skipper Simon Hele, led from the front with 28 disposals and a goal while athletic Harry Franz dominated the air with 12 marks. Jacob McNicol was also a strong contributor with 23 disposals and three goals.
Andriani also racked up six clearances, nine marks and a goal to go with his 45 touches while teammates Jack Mrozowski (20 disposals) and Dean Hatedakis (19 disposals) flew the red and black flag.
Sturt’s premiership defence remains firmly on track after a statement-making 47-point win against Woodville-West Torrens at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.
Now with two wins from two starts at the top of the table, the Double Blues ran over the top of the Eagles with a commanding 5.3 to just two behinds in the last quarter.
Sturt’s Jack Nelson, the son of Blues’ premiership star Ben Nelson, chalked up a game-high 29 disposals and two goals while hard-running Taj Garrett (24 disposals, one goal) and inform Lachie Werts (18 disposals, four goals) proved too hot to handle.
Eagles ruck Jack Marks was tireless in earning his 21 disposals, eight tackles and 14 hit outs while teammates Hudson Walsh and Seb Cavallaro added valuable support.
