New Port Adelaide SANFL coach Jacob Surjan knows very well what Harrison Elbrow can offer in the Hostplus SANFL League.
Surjan extracted the best out of the speedy small forward when Elbrow enjoyed a career-best season in 2022, as North Adelaide made its run to the Grand Final.
Spending last season with his local club Willaston, the 26-year-old is eager to make a return to State League ranks with the Magpies.
Not only will he link up again with Surjan but also several of his former teammates at Prospect who have also arrived at Queen Street including Keanu Miller, Frazer Driscoll, and Terrel Rigney.
And he’s been quick to impress since his arrival, booting three goals in the club’s intra-club match and being named amongst the best performers in the Magpies’ trial win against Sturt.
The dual Fos Williams Medallist is continuing his bid to be placed on an AFL list by again presenting his body in AFL shape.
Entering his second season with the Magpies, the intercepting half-back has impressed at Alberton with his leadership and committment to his craft.
The former Bulldog has stood out with his commanding presence vocally on the track while also setting a high standard in the gym.
As a result, the 25-year-old was rewarded with the SANFL captaincy for 2026.
“It’s a huge honour to lead Port Adelaide in the SANFL,” McLennan said on the club’s website.
“It’s still dawning on me how much of a privilege it is to wear the number one for such a prestigious club, with so much history and success.
“I always hope to lead with my actions and I’m excited to support my teammates to be the best they can be. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead, and to what we can achieve as group.”
