SANFL is pleased to announce a new partnership with CME to illuminate football ovals across the State with cutting-edge lighting solutions.
A national leader in sports and stadium lighting, CME will be the official preferred sports lighting supplier for football in South Australia.
CME most recently delivered oval lights at Football Park oval, West Lakes, on behalf of SANFL and Adelaide Football Club and are also working with the Adelaide Football Club at its new Thebarton development
The new LED 200lux lighting system will unlock access at Footy Park in the evening for Crows AFLW team and eventually for SANFL’s State Talent programs once AFC relocates to its new headquarters at Thebarton.
Other recent football oval projects delivered by CME in South Australia include Adelaide Oval, Alberton Oval, Prospect Oval, Reynella and Mannum football clubs.
SANFL CEO Darren Chandler said the new partnership would support SANFL in meeting its strategic goals to unlock new and existing oval space to accommodate the continuing growth of football in South Australia.
“With football participation at record levels and more than 70,000 girls, boys, men and women playing our game from Auskick to senior footy competitions, there is a huge need for new and upgraded oval lighting in both metropolitan and regional areas,” Mr Chandler said.
“We look forward to working with CME and seeing the delivery of many future oval lighting projects for both SANFL clubs and community clubs across the State.”
CME Chief Executive Officer Chris Mattner said he was thrilled to be partnering with SANFL and supporting its vision with sustainable oval lighting projects.
“The SANFL has been at the heart of South Australian football for over 145 years, bringing people together and inspiring generations,” Mr Mattner said.
“We’re proud to play a role in its next chapter, combining their tradition and community reach with our 40-plus years of experience in delivering end-to-end lighting solutions across the state, and our drive for innovation.
“Together, we will work to ensure football is played and enjoyed in brighter, safer, and more connected environments, right across the state.”
