Harrison Wigg is prepared to go back to where it began as he approaches his 150th Hostplus SANFL League game.

Chiefly pigeon-holed as a running half-back flanker at the start of his career, Wigg has spent the past four year thriving inside the centre square or on a wing.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, the 28-year-old is still enjoying his role further up the field but revealed he would also be happy to revert to his initial play-making role once the new senior coach is appointed for season 2026.

A lovely left-foot kick, Wigg rarely wastes a touch for the Roosters and is now embracing being one of the senior players at Prospect.

Working in conjunction with caretaker coach Sam Mayes, the former Crow and Gold Coast Sun has thrown himself into speeding up the development of his teammates on and off the field.

He has taken great delight from the rapid improvement displayed by Hughen Wissman in 2025, revealing he has worked closely with the emerging midfielder.

And no doubt Wissman and his teammates will want to return the favour with a win against Port Adelaide at Prospect on Sunday as the club honours Wigg’s milestone as well as club legend Barrie Robran, who sadly passed away this week.
