North Adelaide’s Lee Minervini has certainly put the club before individual in his 99 Hostplus SANFL League games.

One of the Roosters’ genuine clubmen, the 28-year-old has endured plenty of heartache since making his League debut in Round 8 of 2017.

Featuring in the Reserves premiership when North won both senior grades in 2018, Minervini was omitted for the 2020 SANFL League Grand Final.

Just two years later, after kicking the opening goal against the Redlegs, Minervini was forced to watch from the interchange late in the 2022 League title-decider after injuring his ankle.

But instead of departing, his fondness for those involved at Menzies Crescent continues to strengthen.

Speaking on SANFL Radio, Minervini said he was looking forward to celebrating his milestone in front of family and friends against Adelaide at Prospect Oval.

His dad Leon will be among those in attendance, with Minervini admitting his father tried to sway him toward playing for the same club he represented in the mid 1980s – Norwood.

Now well and truly settled with the Roosters, the No.7 is thriving by continuing to offer his coaches flexibility in being able to play in defence or attack.
