Norwood has announced the appointment of Richard Kelly as its new Chief Executive Officer, replacing the long-serving James Fantasia.
A former Norwood player and respected leader in South Australian football, Kelly brings extensive experience in elite sport, commercial operations and community engagement.
Kelly – who will begin on July 1 – has served the Redlegs in various leadership roles, most recently as General Manager of Football, where he has been instrumental in strengthening the club’s football programs and community ties.
Kelly’s deep understanding of the club’s values, combined with his strategic vision and leadership, made him the ideal choice to guide Norwood into its next chapter.
“I’m honoured to lead a club that has shaped so much of my life,” Kelly said.
“I look forward to working with our board, staff, players, members and supporters to build on our proud legacy and drive continued success.”
Norwood President Paul Di Iulio welcomed the appointment, stating: “Richard is a passionate Norwood person with a deep understanding of our club’s culture and a clear vision for its future.
“His leadership qualities, football insight and commitment to community make him the right person to take Norwood forward.
“We’re excited about what lies ahead under his guidance. I’d also like to thank James Fantasia for his outstanding service as CEO — his contributions have laid a strong foundation for this next chapter.”
