A rampaging second half has propelled West Adelaide to an impressive 67-point win against South Adelaide at Hisense Stadium.

Despite managing just four goals in the first half, the Bloods turned on the afterburners in the second half as they slammed on 13.4 to the Panthers’ 3.3 to claim a percentage-boosting victory.

With the ever-consistent Kobe Ryan dominating in the middle with 33 disposals, 10 clearances, nine tackles and two goals, Adam Hartlett’s men had as many as 11 goalscorers to illustrate their potency.

The hosts had an overwhelming flood of contributors as they finished with 56 inside 50m entries to South’s 38 while also having 47 more kicks and 48 more marks.

West midfielders Sam Frost and Brady Searle collected 27 possessions each as did inclusion Jesse Thackeray, who enjoyed a breakout performance which also yielded five marks and a goal.

Cool-headed West defender Will Patton tallied 26 disposals and 12 marks while key forward Liam Delahunty led the scorers list with three majors as captain Isaac Johnson, Luke Redfern, Kobe Ryan and Ned Stevens booted two each.

South signing Callum McCarty followed up his impressive SANFL debut last round with 37 disposals, 11 clearances and nine tackles while Ollie Davis (29 touches) and Elliot Dunkin (23 disposals) tried hard for the visitors as Liam Fitt booted two goals.

North Adelaide made the most of its fast start to hold on for a 16-point win against Adelaide at Prospect Oval.

Booting five of the first six goals of the contest, the Roosters put enough space between themselves and the Crows to hold them at bay for the remainder of the afternoon.

Boasting a 38-point lead at the final change, the hosts conceded 5.2 while managing just 1.4 in the fourth quarter but the damage had already been done before quarter-time.

Experienced Roosters pair Harrison Wigg (35 disposals) and Campbell Combe (32 disposals) were creative with their left feet while also combining for 10 clearances.

Captain Alex Spina finished with 29 disposals while Harrison Magor and Sam Mayes were other key contributors with 27 possessions each for the hosts.

Inform North veteran Mitch Harvey booted three goals, together with exciting teammate Nigel Lockyer, while Karl Finlay chimed in with two majors.

Adelaide, jumped for the second week in succession in the opening term, was able to fight back hard in the last term before running out of time.

The Dogs’ efficiency was noteworthy given they had five fewer inside 50m entries and eight less clearances yet the accurate kicking of star forward duo Nick Lange (5.0) and Aiden Grace (4.3) reaped the rewards.

Magarey Medallist Harry Grant finished with 29 disposals, 10 tackles and seven marks for the hosts while Kai Pudney collected 20 disposals while confronting his former club for the first time.

Central midfielders Mani Liddy and Jarrod Schiller tallied 18 disposals each while Jez McLennan was his poised self with 17 disposals as Hugo Munn booted three goals.

The Eagles fought on bravely considering the suffered from the late withdrawals of key premiership personnel Jarred Redden, Riley Knight, Luke Thompson and Daniel Menzel due to minor injury concerns, while Sam Nicholls was unavailable with illness.

Tireless James Rowe collected 34 disposals, six clearances, six tackles and booted two goals for the visitors while captain Joseph Sinor had 28 touches and eight clearances.

Luke Beecken, who has been in nice touch to start the season, continued his good form with 21 disposals and two goals.

Norwood banked two valuable premiership points in a lacklustre 18-point win against Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval.

Playing its arch-rival under lights for the first time in an historic occasion, the Redlegs were wasteful in front of goal as they failed to make the most of a commanding 48-30 inside 50m differential.

The undefeated visitors surprisingly fell behind the Magpies by 10 points midway through the second term before kicking the next three goals in succession to lead by the same margin at the main change.

Jade Rawlings’ charges then pushed their advantage out by as much as 31 points nearing time-on in the third quarter as a percentage-boosting win loomed.

But a plucky Port fought hard despite fielding a side with just eight AFL-listed players, having withdrawn trio Ryan Burton, Tom Clurey and Jed McEntee before the bounce.

Norwood midfielders Billy Cootee (21 disposals), Mitch O’Neill (20 disposals, 10 tackles) and skipper Jacob Kennerley (19 disposals) all provided plenty of grunt as Matt Ling (18 disposals) and Pierce Seymour (17 disposals) were steadying presences across half-back.

Playing his first League game of the season, Connor Mclean threatened to tear the game apart for the Legs after kicking two early goals before finishing with 3.4, including two posters.

Port’s best performer was Norwood defender Logan Evans, who is currently plying his trade at Alberton under the SANFL Rookie Program.

Evans finished with a career-high 26 disposals, five marks and five tackles as he read the ball well across half-back.

Former West midfielder Bailey Chamberlain also collected 26 touches for the Pies while captain Nick Moore racked up an impressive stat line of 23 disposals, 10 clearances and 13 tackles.
