Glenelg overwhelmed Central District in the second half of its U18 Torrens University Cup win at X Convenience Oval.

Kicking 11.5 to the Bulldogs’ 2.2 after half-time, the Bays recorded a convincing 84-point victory to cement their place at the top of the premiership table.

Tigers midfielder Hugh Stagg racked up 36 disposals and eight clearances as the goals were shared between Corey Brougham and Jack Harding who kicked four each while Cooper Beecken added three.

Central’s Tom Clements managed to collect a game-high 43 disposals and 10 marks while Brodie Tuck chimed in with three majors for the hosts.

The Eagles rampaged to a 126-point victory against Sturt at Unley Oval, restricting the Double Blues to just two majors.

Finishing with a significant inside 50 advantage of 68 to 22, the Eagles bolted out of the blocks with an eight-goal opening term.

Round 16 Torrens University Cup MVP Mattaes Phillipou kicked six goals from his 32 disposals and five marks while Jase Burgoyne chalked up 40 disposals and nine clearances for the visitors.

Sturt’s Jamie Taylor battled hard in the midfield to have 25 possessions and nine clearances.

South Adelaide made certain of its place in the finals with a convincing 73-point win against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval.

The Panthers locked away their spot in September with a six-goal first quarter, opening up a telling 30-point lead at the first change.

Seeking to stay in second place on the ladder, the Bloods were trailing by 17 points at the final change before piling on 5.5 to the Redlegs’ 1.3 in the last term.

West’s Jesse Thackeray (37 disposals) and Cade Kennedy (35 disposals) were instrumental in the comeback as Jaeden Watts kicked four goals.

Norwood’s Riley Verrall accumulated 27 disposals and 10 marks while Ned Carey and Jett Boxer booted three goals each for the visitors.
