Woodville-West Torrens all but secured its place in the U18 Torrens University Cup major round with a 49-point win against North Adelaide at Maughan Thiem Kia Oval.

Establishing an 18-point lead at half-time, the Eagles piled on the pain by booting 9.4 to 4.3 in the second half to move five premiership points clear of the Roosters on the ladder.

Dustin Launer was outstanding for the hosts with 37 disposals, 12 marks and five clearances while Port father-son prospect Jase Burgoyne had 27 disposals and nine marks.

North’s Harvey Harrison tallied 25 disposals and six marks while Adam Heath was a solid contributor with 23 possessions, seven marks and a goal.

The son of a former Crow played a significant role in Glenelg’s 68-point win against Norwood at The Parade.

Kane Viska, son of Adelaide and Glenelg hardman Mark Viska, booted four goals for the Bays as they led at every change to solidify their place at the top of the table.

Tigers midfielder Hugh Stagg collected 23 disposals while Cooper Beecken and Darcy Gluyas were also strong contributors for the visitors with 22 possessions each.

Norwood’s Benjamin Belperio led the way for his team with 22 disposals and six clearances while Matthew Dnistriansky kicked a goal with his 19 touches.

South Adelaide shared its scoring load while enjoying a 104-point win against Central District at Flinders University Stadium.

Bolting out of the blocks with a seven-goal first term, the Panthers had 10 goal kickers, including six with multiple majors.

Nippy small forward Jack Delean produced a five-goal haul while Bailey Pilmore and Tom Schirmer kicked four each for the hosts.

Central’s Thomas Clements battled hard against the tide to record 28 disposals and nine marks while Dylan Wall kicked three goals.

West Adelaide’s midfield brigade was too much for Sturt to overcome as the Bloods recorded a 102-point win at Hisense Stadium.

Cade Kennedy (35 disposals and a goal), Charlie Pridham (34 disposals) and Luke Young (31 disposals, 10 marks and three goals) were all key instigators in the hosts’ victory.

The Bloods won the clearances by 34 to 17 while also establishing a commanding 56 to 23 inside 50 advantage.

Sturt’s Kade Harvey (25 disposals and 10 marks) and Jake Aish (21 disposals and a goal) battled valiantly for the visitors.
